With Spring in full bloom, that means it’s time for a little refresh… not just for your home, but for your beauty routine, too. As a PMU (Permanent Makeup) Artist, I’m here to give you my top tips on how to ~Marie Kondo~ everything from your camera roll to your skincare cabinet. This is how the #PermanentHotties do their spring cleaning:

1. Clean Your Skincare Cabinet

Let’s start with the skincare shelf - because I know that tube of Aquaphor has been sitting there for a hot minute 🥴 Throw open that bathroom cabinet door and toss out anything old, crusty, or with an expiration date from the Obama era.

Skincare has a shelf life, and old products can do more harm than good. Ingredients turn, and you open yourself up to the risk of burn or infection. The way to determine the expiry is to look for the printed icon of a jar with an indicator of how long the product is shelf stable; it will say something like “6M” “12M” “24M” etc. Spring is the perfect time to streamline your routine, make room for fresh serums, and maybe even try that new product you’ve had your eye on (aka, the perfect time to try the new Neova line we just started carrying at The Brow Project!)

2. Clean Up Your Brows

Whether it’s a quick shaping or a full PMU touch-up, a polished brow can totally transform your look. Spring is the season of new beginnings—and your brows deserve to bloom too.

4. Clean Your Camera Roll

Okay, hear me out - the feeling of a cleared-out camera roll is SO underrated. Take some time to scroll through your albums and delete old photos, duplicates, or screenshots you literally can’t remember why you still have. Keep the ones that are necessary, and nix the rest. You will feel like a legitimate weight has been lifted off your shoulders… trust me on this one.

While you’re at it, you might as well clear out any old texts, emails & files as well - your phone and computer will thank you dearly for the storage you’ve just freed up.
